Traditional prenatal screening results (eFTS or MSS) are reported as either:
  1. screen negative or
  2. screen positive
Screening results are not definitive – they provide you with a chance (a numerical probability) for your baby to have Down syndrome or trisomy 18.  Your results are reported back to the ordering health care provider and are usually available 1-2 weeks after the final blood test is performed.
